Alan Tudyk is Dinosaurs Forever
Whenever I see a T-Rex, my mind goes to only one of two places; while others in my demographic typically thing Jurassic Park, I think "Dinosaur Comics" if there's a car, or in any other instance "Firefly."
And then I remember how much I love Alan Tudyk and my heart bursts, as if suddenly and unexpectedly by a harpoon.

Scopolamine: The Most Terrifying Zombie Drug Ever
If you don't have the stomach to sit through the whole video, skip to the last five minutes after reading this:
It's a roofie. Except you're completely conscious and appear normal, but completely susceptible to any suggestion. You will empty your bank accounts, wallet, apartment, anything they ask you. Then the next day, you remember nothing.
Now watch the last 5 minutes with that nice motivational/cautionary speaker. Let him become the most pants-wettingly horrific gangster you've seen since before you realized Scarface was just a movie.
Okay?
Now here's a question: What if this drug just made you really, really generous?
What if there was a drug that gave you a terrific sense of ecstasy and brotherhood with all things, but more than that instilled in you the impetus to actually do something about the inequality and poverty and dearth of good will in the world, and you just of your own volition gave away everything you realized you didn't have an immediate need for?
The world would be a pretty alright place if we had all that without the last part, huh?
But that last part's pretty bad.

Happy Pi Day from SaDM!
Today is March 14th, or "Pi Day" as noted in Western calendar notation (3/14). In Europe, this holiday is impossible, at least for a few quintillion years until the slowing of Earth's yearly orbit requires the use of two leap months to be added to our arrangements, and then it would be held on 3 Dodecember.
But anyway, happy Pi Day!
Celebrate by eating some pizza and a dessert model with your fruit-filling of choice. I am partial to blueberry, but I also get into chicken pot, shepherd, and cream from time to time. So have at it.
And I guess celebrate some math, too? Point of circles and, like, circumference equations, I guess. Tell what time it is in radians instead of degrees or something, I don't know. Whatever it is we're supposed to celebrate other than an annotative coincidence.
Oh, but if I'm still blogging in four years, it's going to be epic. 3/14/15 9:26:53.89 a.m. Save the date.

On Family Day
I hope everyone secured their new mattresses yesterday. That's what I believe President's Day was designed for. Bedroom furniture and not having to give kids or office workers two different days off close together.
And to our Canadian friends who just celebrated Family Day, I would like to say this:
Fuck you, buddies.
I wanted to read the new Dinosaur Comics today and you know what I found? This past Friday's strip.
What the hell, Canada? The 'Merican webcomics didn't take the day off, why should you? Our day was made for combining the inconveniently convergent birthdays of our nation's two greatest presidents. That's a reason to take a half day. What's Family Day celebrating? Family? Do you really need a day to celebrate being stuck together until the younger people are self-sufficient enough to leave and let the old ones go insane?
Face it, Canada, you just realized it would be too sad to admit it's not worth doing business on a day when real Americans have taken off work.
